Use Solid Color

Traditionally (i.e. all the way back to UF2), the Closest trap mode has not had a threshold and colors the entire screen. Most authors, however, have had the "use solid color" boolean turn on threshold checking for Closest. The same is true for Second Closest and Two Closest. This is not a bug. Consider the following uprs. The first shows the traditional, expected behavior for Closest. Everything on the screen is colored by the trap. The second shows the traditional, expected behavior for Farthest. Outside the threshold boundary the screen is colored the color of #index = 0. Uprs 3 and 4 show what happens when "use solid color" is true. Closest now shows the threshold boundary, and outside the boundary the screen is colored with the "solid color" on the outside tab. The same coloring is now also seen for Farthest.
