UprMash is a tool written by Dan Wills to generate layers for a fractal to create fractal motion blur effects (by interpolating fractal parameters) and lots of other effects. It can also be used to generate animation.

Initial version

The initially released version was a command-line python script, and it worked from two layers, generating layers 'between' them.

Standalone exe version

The new version is a standalone EXE (converted using py2exe) with a GUI, which works on animated upr's (and generates animated results too).

It is also able to decode compressed UPR which makes it a lot more useful.

How to use

This is the 'extremely short version' from the uprmash wiki

  1. Save an animated UPR in UltraFractal.
  2. Switch to uprMash.
  3. Press "Refresh".
  4. Press "Mash".
  5. Press "CopyToClipboard".
  6. Paste the result into UltraFractal.
