Spiroglyphics is a Fractal Formula in tma2.ufm
Hi all,
Just a note to let y'all know that I just uploaded my funnest (as we used to say in primary school) new formula in quite a while. It is called "Spiroglyphics" and can be found in tma2.ufm somewhere among all that junk.
The trick with this formula is that it uses the glyph algorithm to process the z variable before the fractal loop is iterated, which can produce some very interesting distortions and effects of the fractal elements. You can run any of a number of common loops and then apply the distorting parameters and functions, before or after using the Mandlebrot/Julia switch. I've included some hints in the comments section, please have a look.
Since a picture is worth the proverbial thousand words, I'm including a little demo upr here. The top layer "Background" is the image without any param changes, and the layers below are a few examples of what the params can do.
I hope that you have as much fun with this little toy as I have been having...If you have any questions you can write them on list and I will try to answer them, but I think things are pretty self-evident.
