Shape Collection is a Trap Shape PlugIn Class in rkb.ulb that combines all shape classes including textures. It provides a drop-down list of shapes which is very useful for experimenting with many different shapes and textures.

Hi Diane,

In the rkb.ulb file, there is a shape PlugIn called 'Shape Collection.' It has a drop-down list box that list all the shapes available at the time I wrote the PlugIn (277 of them I think). By using this PlugIn anywhere a shape PlugIn is allowed, you can arrow down the list to quickly test a bunch of shapes. This is a handy way to play with shapes like the exploration many did for both the shape and texture in the recent challenge. Unfortunately the Shape Collection is a resource hog. As you add more uses, UF slows down, and I have had several crashes when I used 20 or so layers that each had used the Shape Collection. The Shape Collection is also large, so when used, UPRs posted to the list will be large. But you can replace the Shape Collection by the shape used without changing the image.

For example say you selected 'Ellipse Catacaustic' as your shape in the Shape Collection drop-down . First right mouse click on the load icon to the right of 'Ellipse Catacaustic' and select 'Copy.' Then right click on the load icon to the right 'Shape Collection' and select 'Paste.' Once the layer rerenders, the image should be the same, but the Shape Collection PlugIn will be replaced by the 'Ellipse Catacaustic' PlugIn.
