Set Transform Mapping Location

Ok, I admit that I overdo the transforms once in a while, but sometimes I really like the result. However, I'm stumped here. I am trying to zoom or isolate the pink spray at the top center of this layer, but even the slightest move changes the image totally. I seem to remember a transform or something that allowed relocation, but I'm clueless as to what it was. Of course in this case unchecking "use screen center" changes the image as well?
Any advice as to how to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

Hi Bee,
Ok, here's how you do it: You have to first look at the mappings you have applied. I noticed that "Use Screen Center" was checked for both instances of General Inversion that are in your mapping "sandwich". I first came upon this back when I was using Kaleidoscope a bunch and wanted the center of the mapping to stay the same when I moved the image off to one side.
What you have to do is uncheck "Use Screen Center" and then "Eyedropper" the Inversion Center to the very center of you fractal window. When you right click/Eyedropper and move the pointer over the fractal, "x" and "y" coordinates will appear along the bottom of the UF workspace. Move the pointer until it's at X=0 and y=0 and then left click. A new set of numbers will appear in the Inversion Center Re/Im boxes. you will then be able to zoom/move any where you want and the mapping will stay centered at the location in the boxes.
Here's the upr with that "fixed" - I just did a right click - copy/paste Complex Value from the bottom GI mapping to the Inversion Center boxes in the top instance of the mapping. Hope this helps!
c-ya!

There's a much more accurate way to put the center coordinates of your fractal into another parameter such as this!
Go to the Location tab and right-click on either of the Center parameters. Choose Copy Complex Value. Then go to the place you want to paste those coordinates -- in this case, either of the Inversion Center parameter fields on the Mapping tab. Right-click again. Choose Paste Complex Value.
