Sand Texture
From Ultrafractal Wiki
Hi Ron, Bless your heart--and thank you for your time. Actually what you call noise--I call sand.( A dead give-away that I know absolutely 0 about formulas and formula writing.) I was trying for a sand layer in UF 5. After hours of trying all I came up with was the Slope under Slope with Shapes. For some reason I'm having trouble getting Perlin Noise to behave itself in UF 5. I'm guessing it's due to some other plug in. After a lot more experimentation I did find another way to do it in UF 5. I used Switch Gradient Slope and Switch Standard from mmf5.ufm in the Fractal Formula positions, and MMF Alternative fBm Trap Shape in the texture slot under Lighting with Textures. So now I have a UF 5 sand layer to store for future use. Thanks again for your help and all your hard work. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Swanee
