REB Example UPR Challenge2

My third entry is at the end of this dialog. I thought I would go through a possible approach to creating images for Challenge #2. In the case of this entry I started with the default Orbit Traps and greyscale coloring. I went through some shapes until I found something interesting. I then replaced the shape with TrapShape Merge, and then replaced the point shape with my chosen shape (Threeply). Next I went to the second default point shape in TrapShape Merge and began varying the trap shapes to find something interesting. I did this for several merge modes until I settled on Shape #62 from SSG and a merge mode minimum.
One of my favorite transforms (it was actually part of one of Toby Marshall's coloring formulas originally) is Tobys Morph. There are actually three different Trap Position slots where it could potentially be plugged in - in the two TrapShape Blocks within TrapShape Merge and the Trap Position that precedes TrapShape Merge. I tried all three and decided that the one prior to TrapShape Merge worked the best. I then fiddles with the parameters in Tobys Morph to get the effect I liked best.
Finally I put a TrapShape Block in for Trap Texture and played with various trap shapes to use as texture. I decided on Gnarl Textures, and then played with the trap size in Trap Position to get the texture I was looking for. Finally I replaced Null Transfer with Default Gradient Transfer and made some parameter changes to it.
I decided to keep this layer as the main shape as greyscale. I duplicated the layer to make my top layer, which was to be used to apply color. The image looked like peppers on a pepper plant, so I wanted to color the pepper individually. Simple iteration with a color gradient would not do this very well nor would any of the other Trap Color Modes in dmj5.ulb, so I went to my Trap Color Mode called REB Iteration. It has a discrete coloring mode that would let me color the individual peppers. I also changed the texture to fBm to give a rough finish to the coloring. Notice that trap position has the trap scale changed to 0.01 in the texture block.
