I just made an updated version of a new formula "Mandel Julia."

It is based on formulas Sylvie Gallet, Gerald Dobiasovsky and Stig Pettersson. Here is an upr example.

Congratulation! A beautiful upr.

I have one played little with it and pushed on the search of beautiful spirals on below-mentioned.

But oh! With the felt me almost calculate (one-pass linear) I like to DOS-times, as conceivably the calculations several days (!) lasted. I let it counted on 1440/900 pxl and enjoyed the procedure at the Full-Screen.  :-))


My question\: Are the algorithms would use by me so arithmetic-intensively or must I think of a new computer soon?

Thanks heaps for sharing that formula (Mandel Julia), it's very cool!! :D I might have to dust off uprMash and see how it looks when motion-blurred.


I have only had a small play but I found this lovely cute little gem by putting 'exponential smoothing' everywhere, cranking up the bailout and looking around some different power (exponent) settings:
