I needed some images where a shape somewhere in the image is transparent, and as I never liked (or was too lazy to learn) programs like Photoshop, I made something to do it in UF.

With "Image Nibble" one loads an image and chooses a shape in the image ( eg a flower, a face,..) that one wants to turn transparent, or cut out..both are possible. Choose a centerpoint somewhere in the shape. ( use the eyedropper of course) Fill in the number of points along the rim of the shape you want to use (you can change this as you go along). Choose a point on the rim of the shape ( again with the eyedropper), choose the second point etc. As you go along you see the area that is going to be transparent. Once you've gone all around the rim, click on 'Do transform', and the shape is now transparent. Click on 'Inverse', and the outside of the shape is then transparent. In other words, you have cut out the shape.

There are of course some limitations: (after all, this is not Photoshop..) - I've allowed 100 points maximum for now, but I can easily allow more if there is a need. - The shape cannot be too complex: from the center point one has to be able to 'see' all the points on the rim.However it is possible to work on only part of the shape, save the image, and then work on the new image with a different centerpoint...
