Fractal Formula
From Ultrafractal Wiki
The "Fractal formula" creates the basic shape and form of a fractal.
UltraFractal comes with a number of standard formulas that you can use. You can also download additional formulas from the Internet using a menu-item within UltraFractal (which is highly recommended)
You can even write your own formulas, and share them with the UltraFractal Community.

How to select a formula
Fractal formulas are managed in the Formula Tab of the Layer Properties tool window.

Finding Formulae
It can be extremely helpful to use the 'find' function on the formula browse window - which is a button at the top of the window.

Sources for additional formulas not in public database: are here
There are more files there as well - I suggest (after extracting from zip) you put formula/transformation/colouring files like these in a folder called "downloads" in your formulas folder so they don't get confused with the public formula files from the UF database.
